A Never Ending Story

A Never Ending Story
Gallery Installation, 2000
‘Never Ending Story’ embodies a roominstallation consisted of 11 objects – entities which comply to a certainemotional condition in the author’s quest for happiness. The process isrepresented as a rational conquest and progress through space which happens withgeometrically structured configurations made of transparent cloth.

For an individual, the comprehension and confrontation with the realityare often traumatic, and the feeling provoked by the collision with it ismanifested with an unpleasant void ‘that needs to be fulfilled’. The formula offulfilling the produced void is unveiled by the author through a creative actof finding forms and shapes as a metaphor of the perpetual search for newshapes and forms of existence and action. The moment of decision and movementinto this process is indicated with the transition from the two-dimensionalplane into a three-dimensional space, with which we overcome the vision of“Happiness” as a two-dimensional image. ”Crystal of the Good Will” is the newformula for happiness, fulfillment, balance and structured existence.

The endless red ribbon is the last element in the search for happiness, which closes the cycle and returns us to the beginning of the story.
The light, as an additional element, is emphasizing the objects’transparency and envisions the spontaneous authenticity of the story. Thesecondary, but no less important role has the textual segment being in a directcorrelation with each object and stands as a guide of the story.
